Understanding the difference between your new Samsung TV's removable protective film and the permanent polarizing layer is crucial to properly setting up your new TV.
If your TV has a protective film, it will most likely have a clearly-marked tab in one of the left side corners. To remove it, turn on the TV to let it warm up for a couple hours. Then, steadying the TV to prevent it from falling, lift and diagonally guide the tab across the display to carefully remove the protective film.
If there is no pull tab in one of the left corners, but there is a barcode displayed on the screen, remove the protective film by applying a piece of adhesive tape to the film in one of the corners, and lift to diagonally guide the film across the display.
***If there is no tab and barcode on the screen, the TV does not have a protective film. Do not try to remove it! If you see a mark in the corner of the frame, this is not an air bubble. It is a mark used in the manufacturing process.
