A Catholic organization dedicated to caring for the planet has a new name. The Laudato Si Movement is dedicated to the first papal encyclical written by Pope Francis. It calls for the faithful to help care for our common home. The movement aims to inspire and mobilize the Catholic community to care for our planet and achieve climate and ecological justice. The group formerly was called the Global Catholic Climate Movement. Associate Director of Laudato Si Movement, Christina Leaño, joins to tell us about the group and why they decided to change their name. Leaño shares in what ways she thinks Catholics can help care for the planet. She discusses some other projects the Laudato Si Movement is working on.
