As Namibia prepares for national elections, there's growing concern over the reluctance of young voters to participate despite calls for their engagement. NewsOnOne interviewed university students regarding the upcoming National Assembly and Presidential elections scheduled for 27 November this year. While some students expressed willingness to participate in the upcoming voter registration between 3 June and 1 August, many remained uncertain about casting their votes.

Political analyst Wade Henckert shed light on the issue, attributing youth voter apathy to a lack of understanding regarding the impact of elections on their living standards.
