China-India relations never fully recovered from a 1962 war and to this day, Indian and Chinese forces face each other across the Line of Actual Control. Over the last three decades, India has been experiencing momentous variations in its military-strategic thinking resultantly this brings the significant changes in its defense policies as well. It has been trying to revolutionize its military capacity through importing sophisticated conventional arms. China however, its growing military has transformed it from a mainly ground-based threat to a multifaceted one with powerful assets in the air, at sea and even in space.
