I am living on the road and need to repair the leaf springs on my tow vehicle. I use my Chevy Colorado to tow my Geo Pro Travel trailer. The full time RV lifestyle is not always easy. Keeping your rig in good shape is critical and finding qualified shops takes some effort on your part. I need to replace the clamps that go around my leaf spring pack. My 4X4 suspension has been modded. But adding a lift to my Chevy Colorado does not mean you do not have similar parts or suspension on your tow rig. I refer to the part as a rebound clamp. There are different styles of rebound brackets. Most rebound shackles for leaf springs are just a band of metal that wraps around the leaf spring pack on each end of the leaf spring. I replace the rebound clamps on my leaf springs with a different style. I found a shop while full time RV living that was able to custom fabricate rebound shackles or rebound brackets that better suit towing and off roading in modded 4x4 trucks.
