Protests have been rampant in Peru's capital as well,... leading to the country's president imposing a curfew in Lima on Tuesday,... banning people from leaving their homes in an attempt to curb demonstrations against rising fuel and fertilizer costs.
Protests have continued into their second week,... while the government scrambles to bring prices down.
The government also says the protests have been increasingly violent,... as at least four people have been killed since they began.
The mass public outcry comes on the heels of President Castillo surviving his second impeachment attempt,... just eight months into his presidency.
