International Relations and Cooperation Minister Ronald Lamola says South Africa will remain in touch with Mozambique to ensure that there is long-lasting peace in Maputo.
Lamola briefed the media in Pretoria on a number of global developments. Mozambique has been making headlines after the disputed election results triggered unrest.
Independent candidate Venancio Mondlane has been at the forefront of calling for demonstrations, saying that the polls were rigged.
Zimbabwe which is chairing SADC, will host the SADC troika meeting on November 20th, to focus on the recent political developments in the region.
