Bengaluru/ New Delhi, April 04 (ANI): Congress party vowed to fight against a contentious land ordinance, cleared by President Pranab Mukherjee after it was reissued by Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government. The Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement (Amendment) Bill 2015, was re-promulgated by the Modi government on March 31, days before it was set to lapse on April 05. However, opposition Congress called the land bill "unfortunate" and vowed to fight it tooth-and-nail. The Communist Party of India (CPI) also said that the BJP government would have a tough time getting the bill passed in Parliament. JD (U) Chief Sharad Yadav said that the opposition is united in its stand against the land bill.
