Did you know that popular Star Wars character Darth Bane was originally an idea that came straight from the makers mouth himself. This shouldn't be surprising if you account that in both canon and legends, Darth bane is the creator of the rule of two which is a bit of lore that is at the center of every conflict against the sith we’ve seen on screen. Always 2 there are, And thats thanks to Darth Bane, He first appeared in the novelization for The Phantom menace , which fun fact George Lucas explained to Terry brooks, the author of the novelization the history of the sith in a 30 minute monologue about the backstory of his somewhat planned prequel trilogy. This explanation was not the same as the expanded universe sith lore however, which is the result of several authors take on who the sith were. Then the clone wars came, and Bane’s design changed, but this time under Dave and George’s supervision, and with the clone wars joining the ranks of canon after the disney buyout this is the version of Bane we now have. Here’s to hoping for more canon stories on this ancient sith.
