Aaron Turner is an artist, educator, writer, and founder/director of the Center for Art as Lived Experience and the Photographers of Color Podcast at the University of Arkansas, School of Art. He uses photography and projection to create still-life studies on identity, history, Blackness as material, and abstraction. He attended Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University, and Ohio University. His work was currently featured in the exhibition "On the Grid: Ways of Seeing in Print." Aaron Turner was joined in conversation with Deknatel Curatorial Fellow of Photography Jessica D. Brier.
