Story: Taking place after Yakuza 0, Kiryu and Nishiki are full fledged yakuza and are close to gaining their own respective families. One night Kiryu gets a call from his subordinate Shinji, stating that his friend, Yumi, was taken by Kyohei Dojima. Nishiki goes after her and Kiryu checks to see if they're alright. Kiryu opens the door to see Dojima shot to death and Nishiki holding the gun. Kiryu offers to take the blame for his brother for he has a sick sister that he needs to take care of. 10 years later, Kiryu is released and once again walks in Kamurocho. Although everything is different... especially his sworn brother... 10 years can do a lot to a man... Kiryu stumbles upon a girl named Haruka who's looking for her mother who is somehow connected to Nishiki, a missing 10 billion yen and a darkness looming over the yakuza and the entire city of Kamurocho.
