The Georgia Loop is a 60 Mile backpacking loop in Northern Georgia.
This trail showcases many of North Georgia's outdoor landmarks, including the Blood Mountain Wilderness, The Toccoa River Suspension Bridge, and a large waterfall. The Appalachian Trail makes up about 15-20 miles of this loop. The Duncan Ridge Trail was the most difficult section, with narrow trails and high winds and rain. Through the 60 miles there are 14,000' of elevation gain.
The loop provided plenty of water fill up spots, and bail out spots to the road if necessary. One could do this trail in even less days if you staged food and water throughout the loop. However, I'd recommend doing it in 4-5 days if you have the time.
