Piedmont is one of the top wine-producing areas in the world, known primarily for its fabulous Barolo and Barbaresco wines and last but not least the Nebbiolo grape. During the harvest of 2022, RareWine was in Piemont to explore the area and visit important producers to gain valuable insights.
In the northwestern part of Italy, just south of the Alps, Piedmont (Piemonte, Italian) is located. Here in the so-called Langhe area, we find Barbaresco just northeast of Alba city, and just south of Alba, we have Barolo. In Barolo, we find Serralunga, La Morra and Castiglione Falletto.
Piedmont is one of the most beautiful places in all of Italy which you can experience yourself in this video, as it contains amazing drone footage from the landscape and he vineyards.
In recent years we are experiencing the golden age for Barbaresco and Barolo. In this video, you can find our thoughts about the most recent vintages and why we believe in a bright future for Barolo and Barbaresco wines.
