Sir David Amess is the latest member of the House of Commons to be killed in office.
Jo Cox was murdered in her constituency by far-right extremist Thomas Mair on June 16 2016.
The 41-year-old mother of two had been the Labour MP for Batley and Spen for just over a year when she was shot and stabbed by Mair – a social recluse – in Birstall, in her West Yorkshire constituency.
