Well, I have more pre Thanksgiving 2024 train footage and this one has a good sized mixed freighter with an AC GEVO up front & two AC44C6Ms as mid train DPUs! The first one appears to be one of the newer ones because when it passed the camera, it was nice and shiny! With more and more of these units hitting the rails and with less dash9s, seeing a dash9 these days is a treat than a common occurrence, so we better get the remaining dash9s before they all die out. Yes, I know that the dash9 is now a dying breed, but it was fun while they lasted, just like the former Conrail SD80MACs and other units. Well, I hope your Thanksgiving 2024 is a good one, eat lots of turkey or ham and stuff but please, if you plan on drinking any alcohol, DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE! I don't want to see on the news about people getting DUIs during the holidays. I wish I had access to the new frequency to the police in my area but unfortunately the asshole police in my area have an encryption key added to the frequency and I'm totally against encryption! Why? Because it blocks out the public from knowing what's going around them in real time and not everyone has Facebook. So with no Facebook, a police scanner is the next available tool and with an encrypted frequency, no scanner can scan those. Give it time and scanner manufactures like Uniden will develop a scanner that can scan and I hope they do because I used to love listening to police chatter. I remember that was the first channel I programmed in when I got my first police scanner and the frequency at that time was 155.070! Now it might be either the 700, 800, or 900 MHz but with an encryption key. If we can develop a scanner with special technology to get those keys than we can have access to know where those asshole police is at and other things too in real time. I don't know but I hope that a scanner that can get those encryption keys comes out sometime in the future. Enjoy and happy railfanning y'all. :)
