Málaga, or Malaga, is a port city in the south of Spain ( Espana ). It is the center of the province of Malaga. After Seville, it is the second largest city in Andalusia and is the 6th largest city in Spain.
The city has an international airport, a port and a university. Thanks to its pleasant climate, Malaga is one of the most popular tourist destinations on the Iberian Peninsula. The painter Pablo Picasso, the famous Spanish politician from the 19th century Antonio Canovas del Castillo and the actor Antonio Banderas were born in Malaga. In 2015, the modern art museum Center Pompidou Málaga was opened here, which is the first foreign branch of the museum of the same name in Paris.
