HM Amit Shah is in Mumbai and he will deliver the Laxmanrao Inamdar Memorial lecture at Mumbai University. Now Sources speaking to HW News English have said that Mr Amit Shah and Devendra Fadnavis are still not in good terms.
Now, Devendra Fadnavis was once considered to be close to Amit then what changed the equation between the two?
According to a source in the BJP, In 2022 after the Eknath Shinde rebellion, Fadnavis without the knowledge of Amit Shah had announced that Shinde will be CM and he will stay out of the government. Which made Amit Shah furious.
And just hours after the announcement BJP president JP Nadda speaking to news agency ANI informed that the party's central leadership has decided that Mr Fadnavis will be part of the government and take oath as the deputy CM.
Now these kinds of announcements are generally never made via media they are always made privately to the concenered leader and then the information is circulated to the media. The source in the BJP says HM Amit Shah had felt the need to show Devendra Fadnavis his place in the party who was then one of the assspirants to join team Modi.
Now this was not all, After Fadnavis's demotion from a constitutional post to just another cabinet minister of the 28 minister team. Because DCM is not a constitutional post. Devendra Fadnavis had to share the post of DCM with another leader of the same caliber that is Ajit Pawar.
Besides , The Source also said: Leaders like Ashish Shelar and Vinod Tawade who were sidelined by Fadnavis were awarded positions. Shelar was promoted from Mumbai cricket Association president to BCCI's treasurer. BJP's national general secretary Vinod Tawade was made the convener of the team that will plan the use of party’s national and state leaders in the 2024 poll campaigns.
Now it will be interesting to see what will be the fate of RSS Man Devendra Fadnavis after the 2024 elections.
