During the last school year, some NYC students with IEPs — Individualized Education Programs — did not adequately receive their mandated services. We reviewed the general recovery services the DOE will be offering for all students with IEPs, what these services may look like, and how these are different from compensatory services. We also reviewed how to request specific compensatory services and share advocacy tips for parents.
