Rachel Royce from BBC East Midlands today came in to film Rob (museum founder), Jenny (Richard's mum) and Tamzin (Richard's sister) about the lost artwork recovered from his computer and converted into modern image files.
The art was created in DPaint II and saved on a floppy disc which was corrupt. To get the artwork off (once finding it) the floppy had to be restored, a serial cable made, and two lots of software purchased to retrieve the art (one to copy files from the Amiga to an old PC with serial, and another package to convert from DPaint to JPG/BMP/PNG files).
You can see Richard's Amiga and his artwork in our British gaming history room at Derby Computer Museum:-
