This is the new Madden 11 Deep Ball Glitch. I discovered this glitch by playing offline and have since tested it online and in practice mode. If your opponent is not controlling his safety, the AI will not attempt to go for the ball. If your opponent is using his safety, it becomes a jump ball battle that you should win since you can position yourself to make the catch.
