4K Australia and Sydney by Drone - Gliding #013 features aerial cinematography shot entirely on a DJI Mavic Pro 3.
Locations:
Scene 1 – Kirribilli, Sydney.
Derived from an first nations word Kiarabilli, which means 'good fishing spot', Kirribilli is one of Sydney's most established neighbourhoods. It sits on the Lower North Shore of Sydney Harbour and boasts views to some of Australia's most iconic landmarks. Within its boundaries are Kirribilli House (the official Sydney residence of the Prime Minister of Australia), Admiralty House (the official Sydney residence of the Governor-General of Australia), and the headquarters and marina of the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron. All of these are featured in this beautiful sequence.

Scene 2 – Barrenjoey, Northern Beaches, Sydney
Also a word derived from first nations - "Barrenjuee" (meaning little kangaroo or wallaby) - Barrenjoey is the most northern tip of Sydney's Northern Beaches region as well as the Pittwater waterway. The headland is made up primarily of sandstones rising up 100m from the ocean. It will look familiar to viewers of the Australian TV soap opera 'Home and Away' which features it within its fictional beachside setting.

Scene 3 – Lane Cove River, Thornleigh, Sydney
Travelling along the north shore of Sydney from Thornleigh through to Greenwich. In this sequence we focus on its upper reaches in a narrow, forested valley where the river is barely a trickle.

Scene 4 – North Head Quarantine Station , Sydney
The North Head quarantine station in Sydney operated from 14 August 1832 to 29 February 1984. The concept behind its establishment was that, as an island-nation, 1830s Australia was susceptible to ship-borne disease. As a precaution those who arrived upon Sydney shores and might have an infectious disease would be kept in quarantine here.
The location is also famous for the spearing of Governor Phillip by the native Wil-le-me-ring in a bay in or near the Quarantine area in early European settlement times. It is also renowned as one of Australia's most haunted places due to the many distressed souls who died whilst stranded there and with ghosts said to appear here.
Soundtrack: ‘Sweet Sorrow’ by Taras Shostukha.
