A group of snorkellers have swum way too close to a pod of humpback whales off Southport, in the Gold Coast.
Footage has revealed a Queensland couple snorkelling and watching a humpback beneath them when suddenly one of their tour guides was lifted out of the water by the whale’s tail.
Fortunately, the guide escaped the incident uninjured.
