Victoria has recorded another 208 cases of COVID-19 and 17 deaths, taking the state's death toll to 415.
The deaths include one woman and one man in their 60s, three men in their 70s, four women and six men in their 80s and two men in their 90s.
Eleven of the 17 are linked to aged care outbreaks.
Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk says the two new coronavirus cases are linked to the Brisbane Youth Detention Centre cluster and are a "good result", a day after new state restrictions came into force.
There have been four new cases of COVID-19 diagnosed in New South Wales, bringing the total number of cases in the state to 3,796, authorities say.
Of the four new cases reported in the 24 hours to 8:00pm last night, two cases were acquired overseas and are in hotel quarantine.
One case is a household contact of a previously reported confirmed case linked to the Apollo Restaurant cluster.
NSW Health says the source of the remaining case — a hotel security guard reported yesterday — is currently under investigation.
