It's located between Europe and Asia, and it's surrounded by five different countries: Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Iran, and Azerbaijan. Despite its name, the Caspian Sea is not connected to any ocean and is actually classified as a lake because it's completely landlocked. But don't let that fool you - this "lake" is so large that it contains over 78,000 cubic kilometers of water, making it larger than some of the world's oceans!
