Did you know that the world's largest inland body of water is not actually a sea, but a lake? It's called the Caspian Sea, and it's so big that it spans over 143,000 square miles (371,000 square kilometers)! It's located between Europe and Asia, and it's surrounded by five different countries: Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Iran, and Azerbaijan. Despite its name, the Caspian Sea is not connected to any ocean and is actually classified as a lake because it's completely landlocked. But don't let that fool you - this "lake" is so large that it contains over 78,000 cubic kilometers of water, making it larger than some of the world's oceans!
