Video opens with M15 incubating/brooding. F23 arrives with a partial (headless) fish. She most likely brought this in for E24 (eaglet food). She leaves the fish on the nest, and tries to get M15 to let her back on E23 and egg #2. M15 doesn't budge. F23 gives him a beak nibble, then leaves the nest. F23 flies to the pond for sips and wading. F23 flies toward the office oak, still on her break. Time stamps below, if interested. Click on any time stamp to advance to that part.
E24 hatched today, day 36, 12-14-24. Day 35 for egg #2 is on Monday, 12-16-24. CamOps will provide close-ups views of E24, and close -ups of egg #2, looking for a pip. Eggs can hatch between 34-40 days, and will have an internal pip 2-3 days before hatching. The adults will hear the chick working, chirping, and will feel the movement of the chick inside the egg. The chick will then pierce the shell with their egg tooth near the blunt end of the egg, creating an external pip, as we have seen with egg #1. The hatch process can take up to 72 hours; typically we see the chicks here hatch in 24-48 hours. Here is the link to elfruler's site, the "Hatching" page, for more information: [ Ссылка ]
