Elder Joseph of Vatopedi in this video discusses events leading up to the end times. The Elder explains that first a state of abnormality will exist, which will lead to great bloodshed in the region of Byzantium between the Russians, the Americans, and the Israelis. Finally, Elder Joseph goes on to say that after this three day war, sleepers from Byzantium will be resurrected by an Angel of the Lord to lead the people and that this will result in a period of peace and prosperity that will last about three to four decades.

Elder Joseph of Vatopedi was a spiritual child of Saint Joseph the Hesychast, who was recently canonized by the Orthodox Church. Elder Joseph spent 63 years on Mount Athos as a monk, a part of which he served as abbot at the Monastery of Vatopedi. His wisdom and spiritual experience helped thousands of people, both monks and pilgrims, throughout the years, and his words continue to inspire many even to this day. Elder Joseph pray for us!
