This Maingard has a strong mid-range response which makes it ideal for a recording musician who wants great tone, but not a lot of bass. If someone's playing this guitar near you, be careful: you will be blown away. Marc's one of Africa's premiere builders, and it's always a good day when we get one of his guitars in the shop. The African Blackwood on this GC is smoky and sultry, and the tone is sonorous, dry, unbelievably crisp.
