The Uganda Human Rights Commission has warned police of dire consequences if they continued to ignore the pleas of Mukono Municipality MP Betty Nambooze to seek further treatment in India.
According to the commission’s letter to the IGP Martins Okoth Ochola, if anything happens to Nambooze as a result of delayed medical treatment, it would raise legitimate questions as to how she was treated while in custody.
