Amid the ongoing tension along the LAC and escalating border tension with China, Pakistan violated ceasefire in Shahpur, Kirni and Degwar sectors in Poonch district on Saturday morning.
The ceasefire violation began at 9.15am when Pakistani troops started unprovoked firing with small arms and intense shelling with mortars along the Line of Control.
