Over 1.5 mn flee Ukraine, Europe's fastest-growing refugee crisis since WW2: UN
The UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Filippo Grandi on Sunday tweeted that more than 1.5 million people have fled Ukraine for neighbouring countries in 10 days, the fastest-growing refugee crisis in Europe since World War II. The UNHCR had reported that numbers had crossed the million mark on March 2 at midnight. Russia began invading Ukraine on February 24.
