(6 Mar 1982) Five defendants have been sentenced to death for their part in the assassination of Egyptian President Anwar Sadat. Seventeen of the accused were given prison terms ranging from five to 15 years and two were acquitted. the Sentencing was delayed due to protests by the accused and a power cut at the court.
