Built in 1990, H654VVV is the last long wheelbase (18ft 6in) Leyland Olympian delivered to Stagecoach United Counties. Mortons Travel had used it in services including rail replacement since 2010, and has restored 654 into 90's Stagecoach condition after they added it into their preserved collection in 7/2016.
The body is Alexander RL type, which is 13ft 9in high and seats 87. A Gardner 6LXB engine powers the bus, in conjunction with a ZF Ecomat 4HP500 gearbox. Looks like a formula for good fuel economy, but a Cummins LT10 would make a more exciting noise.
