ARREST OF THE ORGANIZED ONLINE CRICKET BETTING BOOKIES AND RECOVERED TOTAL PROPERTY W/Rs.23,80,000/-

In view of the ongoing PSL (PAKISTAN SUPER LEAGUE) 2021 Cricket Matches, SOT Madhapur Zone of Cyberabad Police Commissionerate has been keeping surveillance and informants to trace out the activity of bookies and individuals indulging in this illegal activity of cricket betting.

As a result the SOT Madhapur received credible information about online cricket betting being organized at Pavani Residency, Bhandari Layout, Nizampet, under the limits of Bachupally PS. On 21.06.2021 in the early hours, the SOT Madhapur with the help of Bachupally Police apprehended (05) cricket bookies of organized Online Cricket betting team while they were exchanging the money related to cricket betting and seized Rs.20,50,000/- Net cash, and 01-Betting Board, 01-Laptop, 33-Mobile Phones, 01-MI TV, 01-Hathway Router from their possession. The details are as follows.

A-1) (Main Organizer) Somanna, R/o. East Godavari, Andhra Pradesh – (Absconding).

A-2) Gunturi Satya Pavan Kumar, S/o : Venkata Rama Raju, Age: 32 yrs, R/o. Kondetivaari Veedhi, Narasayya Agraharam, Bhimavaram town, West Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh State. (Organizer)


A-3) Uddara Raju Satheesh Raju, S/o Sathyanarayana, Age: 41 yrs, Occ: Betting Operator, R/o: VamshiKrishna nagar, Bhimavaram town, West Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh State. (Organizer)

A-4) CH. Trinath, S/o, Veerababu, Age:29 yrs, Occ: Betting operator, R/o: Kalekanpeta, Machilipatnam City, Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh.

A-5) Nandipamu Bhaskar, S/o Balaswami, Age: 31 yrs, Occ: Betting operator, R/o. LIC Colony, Nuziveedu, Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh.

A-6) Jakkapudi Prasad, S/o Durga Rao, Age: 25 yrs, Occ: Betting operator, R/o: Gandhi Nagar Street, Akividu town, West Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh State.


Seized property:-

1. Net Cash- 20,50,000/-.
2. Mobile Phones- 26 (Basic model Mobiles connected to board).
3. Accused Mobile Phones- 07.
4. Communicator Board – 01(With 26 Small Mobiles).
5. Wifi-Router-01.
6. MI TV -01.
7. Dell Laptop-01.
