300,000 women still die every year due to pregnancy complications, with 99% of them living in low- and middle-income countries.
As part of our series of short films celebrating the scientists dedicated to improving women’s health, Dr. Aduragbemi Banke-Thomas, an AXA grantee at LSE Health, England, is looking at delayed access to medical care, in particular the travel delays in Lagos, Nigeria. This insight will help stakeholders take strategical decisions to offer timely and quality emergency obstetric care to every woman in Lagos.
