The most common cause of nose bleed in children is because of nose picking.Children always have peculiar habit of picking their nose that causes irritation in front of the nose in the area called as little's area where there is a confluence of 5 blood vessels.That area is extremely vascular and extremely fragile.
Scratching the nose causes irritation which becomes infection.There will be bleeding.Most of the time it will stop by itself.Its very unlikely to keep on bleeding.
Sometimes it becomes traumatic and surgeries will be done.If parents become anxious child will also become anxious which will worsen the bleeding.So parents should be calm..
