6 Blood Tests To Do when you prepare for IVF (ideally, three months before).
WHY🤔?
Correcting any nutrient deficiency issues while trying to conceive and before pregnancy is crucial.
During pregnancy, specific nutrient requirements increase.
When I work with clients one-on-one, this is also the first thing I'll check if they have done any blood tests to thoroughly assess their nutrition before drawing the personalised supplement regimen.
I often recommend screening for coeliac as statistic shows that up to 50% of women with untreated coeliac disease experience miscarriage or an unfavourable pregnancy outcome.
Emerging research also shows that certain MTHFR gene variants are associated with an increased risk of pregnancy loss and birth defects. And hence, proper assessment and understanding of your folate status are essential, especially if you've experienced recurrent implantation failure or multiple miscarriages.
