Les accidents vasculaires cérébraux (AVC) peuvent survenir à tout âge. Lucie Hertz-Pannier, radiologue pédiatre spécialiste des maladies cérébrales de l'enfant au CEA, explique que les bébés qui ont subi un AVC ont une anomalie importante dans leurs cerveaux et en grandissant, cette anomalie va laisser place à une cicatrice. Cependant, les bébés ont une capacité qui permet de construire leur cerveau autrement : la plasticité cérébrale.
