“Domus Aurea,” 5:30 minutes, 2021.
This video is a collaboration between visual artist
John O'Donnell www.johnodonnellprojects.com and composer Peter C. Murray [ Ссылка ].
It was filmed in the Domus Aurea museum in 2021. This is a project that is guided by documenting architecture as it intersects with contemporary exhibition design. The Domus was a vast landscaped complex built by the Emperor Nero largely on the Oppian Hill in the heart of ancient Rome. The construction of the Domus Aurea has been considered the most extravagant construction in the history of Rome. On March 30, 2010, the return of the entrance of one of the galleries was added, extending the period of closure to the public of the archaeological site until 2015. The Domus Aurea of Nero has finally been opened to the public after a long period of restoration and is accessible only with the guided tour.
