The Major Organised Crime and Anti-Corruption Agency (MOCA) has arrested six individuals during coordinated operations across six locations in St. Elizabeth, Clarendon, St. Catherine, and Kingston.
According to MOCA's communications director, Major Basil Jarrett, the suspects are linked to a multi-million-dollar smishing scam targeting an elderly National Commercial Bank customer. They allegedly stole USD $45,000 and JMD $7.4 million. The cyber-attacks reportedly occurred in March last year, and the suspects are expected to face charges soon.
