Ms Swaffer is an activist, academic and keynote speaker, and is known for her expertise in the area of human rights and dementia and dementia as a disability. She is co-founder and Chair of Dementia Alliance International, a peak organisation globally representing persons with dementia. She has written three books on dementia.
