Today we're going to be taking a look at the Valterra RV sewer Y, with rotating valves. This unit adds, or replaces a sewer Y connection in your RV's waste system. It is made from a very strong, and durable black ABS plastic construction. The unit's going to feature two valves, so you're going to have this valve right here, this is your three inch blade-x valve. It has a black t-handle for easy operation. You can see how that opens and closes the gate there.
That's going to have the metal shaft. Really nice, easy to use design. Again, that's a three inch blade-x valve with a black handle, which indicates black-water tank. This valve over here, is an inch and a half blade-x valve, with a gray handle to indicate gray-water tank. Again, gray t-handle, metal shaft. Really nice, easy to use design.
Internally, they're going to have the appropriate seals already pre installed for leak-proof performance. It's a really nice design. See here that you got the pipe that branches off, making that Y design. Right here, you're going to have your three inch bayonet connection point. That's a four pin bayonet style design with a two hook cap, appropriate seal located right there to prevent leakage. That just places on there, rotates into position.
It's got the tether on there, so that way you don't have to worry about misplacing that, or losing that. Now, the unit's going to feature rotating valves. Both of these valves are able to rotate 360 degrees, or as far as it can before it interferes with another part of the system. But they are able to rotate, which is going to allow you to position them how you need to, to best fit your application. A few measurements to go over with you real quick, starting with this here, outside edge to outside edge, is about 3-1/2 inches. Inside edge to inside edge diameter is three inches. On this point here, outside edge to outside edge, we're looking at about 1-15/16 of an inch.
Inside edge to inside edge is about an inch and a half, to 1-9/16 of an inch, right in that area. Then the bayonet connection point, inside edge to inside edge is three inches. Outside to outside is 3-1/2. That's going to do it for today's look at the Valterra RV sewer Y with rotating valves.
