Hey, my beautiful YOUTUBE family! This is the last video from my visit to Sikkim January 2021!
Zuluk (also spelt as Dzuluk) is a tiny village at an
altitude of 10,100ft. It's located in lower Himalayas of East Sikkim on the historical old Silk Route.
Thambi Viewpoint which is about 14kms from Zuluk is a great place for sunrise views over Kanchenjunga and comes on the road to Lungthung (towards Kupup).
There are 32 sharp hairpin bends (or zig zags) along the way which is an engineering marvel by itself.
Nathang Valley, also known as Gnathang Valley is a high-altitude plateau in East Sikkim. Located at an altitude of 13,500 feet above sea level and flanked by mountains on all sides, this is a remote valley. Nathang is the highest location to stay in the Indian part of the Old Silk Route. It is usually covered with snow from January to April.
Nathang Valley is the most scenic destination in the whole of East Sikkim and the sunrise points of Lungthung and Eagles Nest Bunker are only 5 kms from here.
The amazing view of the Kupup lake will make you feel that nothing could be more peaceful and serene on earth. The lake is situated at an altitude of 13,066 feet, on the way to Jelepla Pass. The shape of the lake resembles an elephant
