In a ‘diplomatic triumph’, India successfully hosted G20 Leaders’ Summit in Delhi last week. PM Modi also held a series of bilateral talks with world leaders on the sidelines of G20 Summit. Indian Prime Minister also held a meeting with his Canadian PM Trudeau and talked tough on Khalistan issue. When Justin Trudeau planned to leave Delhi after the Summit, his plane suffered a technical snag. While Trudeau is still in Delhi, the Canadian PM has been mocked by media in his home country. As per Toronto Sun, Justin Trudeau “alienated himself from many world leaders” during his India visit. The column in Toronto Sun drew parallels between Canadian Opposition leaders Pierre Poilievre and Justin Trudeau. According to columnists’ opinion, while Poilievre won praise for his speech in Quebec city, Trudeau went unnoticed in India. Leader of the Canadian Opposition Pierre Poilievre has also launched a scathing attack on Trudeau. He shared a picture of PM Modi and PM Trudeau on X and wrote, “No one likes to see a Canadian PM repeatedly humiliated”. A section of netizens also supported Poilievre’s tweet and slammed Canadian Prime Minister. The Canadian PMO told ANI that the Canadian PM, along with the delegation, is set to fly to Canada this afternoon.
