Whorlton Castle is regarded as one of the most haunted locations in England . There are many spirits that have been reported here throughout hundreds of years of history , Dating back to as far as the 12th century. Perhaps the most famous of all the ghosts here is that of the Grey Lady .
The Grey lady can often be seen and heard within the grounds of Whorlton castle, there have been many reports here , mostly of unexplained sounds , shadows ,orbs , smells of rotting flesh and screams in the night without any explanations and extreme drops in temperatures which are also accompanied by a strange mist that seems to float through the area .
