Three individuals reported being unable to take part in yesterday’s election due to processing errors, meaning their names were already crossed out when they attempted to cast their votes. In his speech, Fabian Picardo noted that, while statistically irrelevant, this was a matter of huge importance on both a personal and democratic level. He said he had faith that his Returning Officer, Paul Martinez, would identify the cause, and ensure it did not happen again.
