Legislation to allow for stop sign cameras in school zones in Prince George's County was approved Tuesday.
The council passed a bill to authorize and implement the use of stop sign monitoring systems on state and local highways in school zones. The monitoring systems would "record violations of State law requiring obedience to stop signs," the bill states. The emergency legislation terminates June 30, 2029.
