Winter sangria
This winter sangria, bursting with rich fall and winter flavors, has become my favorite for holiday parties I host or attend.
Ingredients:
- 1 apple, seeds removed and sliced
- 1 orange, sliced
- 2-4 cinnamon sticks
- 2 oz (60ml) maple syrup
- 2 oz (60ml) bourbon
- 2 cans (500ml) cold cider
- 1 bottle white wine (chilled)
Mix all the ingredients in a jug. Let it rest for 20-30 minutes to allow the flavors to combine. Ice is optional. I use chilled ingredients and keep the sangria in the fridge until serving.
