Troy Anthony Edwards was convicted for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, but the Ninth Circuit reversed his conviction and granted him a second trial. During the second trial, the defense argued that the bail receipt was planted and the former prosecutor violated local rules. Grimes's testimony was crucial evidence, but she could not remember important details about the bag.
