Gujarati Dal n Rice
Ingredients:
Toor Dal – 1 Cup (Washed n-Soaked Dal)
Water - 2 Cup
Tomato – 1 no
Turmeric Powder – ¼ tsp
Ghee – 1 tsp
After Cooking Dal then add
Water - 1 Cup
Salt to taste
Ginger Chilli Paste – 1 tbsp
Peanuts – ¼ Cup (Soaked in Hot Water then add)
Ginger Grated – 1 Inch
Jaggery – 1+1/2 tbsp
Tadka:
Ghee – 1 tbsp
Mustard Seeds – ½ tsp
Cumin – ½ tsp
Whole Dry Methi – 1 tsp
Cinnamon – 2 Pc
Clove – 5-6 Pc
Star Flower – 2 Pc
Curry Leaves – 8-10 no
Whole Boriya Mirch – 2 no.
Asafoetida (Hing) – ½ tsp
Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
Dhaniya Jeera Powder - 1 tsp
Coriander Leaves Chopped
Lemon Juice – 1 no.
Rice
Ingredients:
Water – 2 Cup
Oil – 1 tsp
Salt Little
Rice – 1 Cup (Washed n Soaked)
Method:
Take a Pressure Cooker, add Soaked dal, Water and Tomato, Turmeric Powder, Ghee, Close the Lid and Give Three Whistle.
Rice - Take a Kadhai add Water, Oil, Salt Little, Let Boil the Water and then add Rice, Cook in High Flame let Water Evaporate then Close the Lid of Kadhai and Let Cook Properly. It takes 8-9 Min after that Close the Flame and Let Rest Like that 10-12Min.
After Boil Dal in Cooker Blend with Blender Properly then, keep above the Flame and add Water, Salt to taste, Ginger Chilli Paste, Soaked Peanuts, Grated Ginger, Jaggery, Cook for Some time.
Tadka – Take a Tadka Pan add Ghee, Mustard Seeds, Cumin Seeds, Methi Whole Dry, Cinnamon, Clove, Star Flower, Curry Leaves, Dry Boriya Mirch, Hing, Red Chilli Powder, add above the Cooked Dal then add Dhaniya Jeera Powder, Coriander Leaves Chopped, Mix Properly and Lastly add Lemon Juice.
Serve Dal with Rice.
