Russia - Ukraine crisis: Russia has moved nuclear-capable Iskander missiles to Belarus (right) and is massing a force of 30,000 troops backed by Sukhoi fighter jets, S-400 anti-aircraft systems and T-72B tanks, NATO's chief has warned (left, Russian tanks carry out drills in Belarus on Wednesday). Among the troops deployed in Belarus are Spetsnaz special forces, Stoltenberg added, saying it marks the largest Russian deployment to the country since the Cold War. In response to the build-up, America has announced that 2,000 extra troops will be deployed to Poland - a NATO ally which neighbours Belarus - a move attacked by Moscow as 'destructive'. Russia denies plans to attack Ukraine but has heaped pressure on its neighbour while issuing a list of security demands, with high-level diplomatic talks ongoing.
